The cake face

This is how we started...clean from the slip n slide.

Then came a few more bites

Then Grandma and Grandpa pulled out the birthday tiara.

Oh the joy of birthday cake...and attention!

Let's do that again!

Fun family portrait

Phil and I had a wedding to go to so we got all spiffed up. Nora had a date with Grandma.

Train Cake!

Birthday Trains! Nora LOVES trains so for her birthday, I had fun decorating (with my mom's help!) this train cake. She liked picking the pieces that she wanted to eat.

Slip N Slide!

For Nora's second birthday on July 20th, Uncle Dusty got her a slip n slide. Yes, it was a huge hit.

Great smiles

Happy in the water.

Watermelon and trucks...what more can you ask for?

Monkey at the kitchen table

Nora loves to hang like a monkey on the kitchen table. I could only get her to do it for a short time, she usually swings for a while.

P.S. Aren't you proud of me for figuring out how to download a video!!!

Big red tub

Yesterday, I picked up a great big red tub, thinking it would be perfect to put in the backyard so Nora and friends could wash off from playing in the sand, etc. Well, Nora took it to a new level this morning. As I worked on de-weeding the front yard, Nora started playing in the bucket. Yes, she started out fully clothed, but that didn't last long. It was perfect time for me to get things done and she was happy as a clam just lounging in the tub!

I wish I had a little red box...

We learned a new song while were were in Denver. Marianne taught us and Nora wanted everyone to sing it all the time on our trip. Well, Phil brought home this box (that just happened to be the right color) and you know what we had to do....

Playing in food

At the Cherry Creek Mall in downtown Denver, there is the amazing kids area where all the climbing toys are breakfast foods. Needless to say, Nora LOVED this place.

Lunch with the kids

One of the days in Denver we met the Hasenzahls and some friends at a pizza place for lunch. Nora didn't eat much but loved just watching the older kids talk and eat. She is such a people watcher.

Beach Bums

Oh yes, we went to the wonderful Aurora Reservoir with the Hasenzahls. The kids were in heaven! We had a little lunch on the beach, made sandcastles, and buried Hannah and Cole.

First stop, paint the porch

We went to Denver!!!
After being in the plane all morning, Nora was ready for some action, and Diane was ready! She had gotten Nora a paint brush, and a bucket, filled it with water and said, "Why don't you paint our deck?" Nora was HAPPY to oblige and she set to work.
